Local limestone, smoked oak, handmade ceramics: a closer look at the materials chosen for our finest suite.

The Lehenbiscay Suite takes its name from the neighbourhood that surrounds it. It is our largest room, and perhaps the one that best captures what we were after: a simple elegance made of honest materials.

The floor is smoked oak, warm underfoot. One wall has kept its local limestone, raw and pale, which the late-afternoon light turns almost golden. The stone fireplace anchors the sitting area, and the exposed beams remind you that the house has an age, and a story. Nothing new for the sake of newness: every element was chosen to last and to gain character over time.

The rest lies in the details. Natural linen for the bedding, handmade ceramics at breakfast, an engraved wooden key rather than a magnetic card. Objects you want to touch, that age gracefully, and that tell of the craftsmanship of local artisans.

From the windows, the countryside opens onto the hills. In the morning, you sip your coffee here in silence; in the evening, you listen to the fire. It is a room designed to make you linger — a little longer than you had planned.
